do i need a certain scope for a certain airsoft rifle?

I bout a utg master sniper rifle but i need a scope for it. I want to know if you need certain scopes for certain guns. Anyone know?

Any scope will do. Personally I wouldn't bother with anything more than 4x for an airsoft gun, you don't have the range which would require a higher magnification...

Is the UTG shadow ops Airsoft sniper rifle a good airsoft gun?

My neighbor received The UTG Accushot Shadow ops black sniper rifle for his birthday, Today My neighbor and I were firing a few round at targets When i used it and looked at it i saw no flaws. But I would like to know from someone who has used this gun if it has any cons (I am planning to buy this gun). Thanks

I own the UTG L96 got mine over a year and half ago, and I'm looking to upgrade it to the max and make it my primary. The UTG/Well L96 is probably one of the best clone bolt actions out there along with the Bar-10. After cleaning and tweaking gun (no upgrades yet) I get some very nice groupings for such a cheap gun. Max range is around 230 feet and effective is more or less 200ish with TSD .28g's. At 125 feet I had groupings of 5 1/2 inches. I haven't chronoed it yet, but the mid to high 400's seems about right.

It's a pretty decent gun, however for most people I would advise against a bolt action and go ahead and buy an AEG. Mostly because sniping in airsoft is not even close to what most people picture sniping in their mind. Most stock snipers barely, if at all, out range most AEG's which is the main Advantage of a sniper in real life. There are various other reasons why I don't suggest it, however I'm not going to get to deep into the subject, because it is ultimately your choice.

@ Dmitri - an L96 is a lot easier to upgrade considering that you can access the cylinder without having to take the gun apart. Not unless you mean finding parts, because VSR parts are more readily available. Then I would have to say you're right.

@ chathamair - The UTG L96 is not made by Galaxy as a matter of fact Galaxy does not have a L96 in production. The UTG L96 is made by Well, which you claim is better. Of course that absolutely makes no sense because in fact they are the same exact gun.
