leupold rings on Rem. 700?
I want to mount a leupold 4.5-14x40mm on a Remington 700 SPS, If using leupold STD base and rings do I have to use medium rings or can I use small height rings, thanks.
You should be able to - the 40mm objective lens shouldn't be too big. The lower the better. I've used the Leupold standard bases and low rings on a Winchester M70 and a 40mm Nikon with no problem.
