What scope should i buy, a Crosman CenterPoint 3-9x40mm Tactical Hunting and Shooting Scope, or a Barska?
I just got a new .270 for christmas and i am looking to get a scope for it i have found 2 that i really like but i cant figure out which one i should get, which one would be better, but i am not going to be hunting at any long distances very often so that is why i am having an issue figuring out which one to get, it is either the crosman centerPoint 3-9x40mm Tactical Hunting and Shooting Scope, or the Barska 3-12x50 Riflescope w/ 30/30 Illuminated Reticle
keep in mind that i have about a $120 budget and just because a scope is "cheap" in price, doesnt mean it aint good,
NEITHER!
That crossman will go out of zero every time you even fire the rifle. That Barska isn't going to be much better.
Save some money, but a used Leupold, those scopes are built tough, can take any kind of abuse you can throw at them, and if you get it and it is damaged? Send it to them and they'll make it like new for free.
Generally if a scope cost you less then 100 dollars, put it on an equally cheap .22LR. Cheap scopes are just that, cheap, they are useless for anything other then decoration.
I have Leupold, my boss has Leupold, my grandfather has Leupold. The gunsmith I take my rifles to swears by leupold. Simmons is a crap brand, Crosman is an entire tier lower then simmons. Barska is about the same as Simmons. None of them are worth the money if you are interested in hitting your target.
