Can a Walther P22 barrel be swapped for a barrel chambered to accept 9mm bullets?

I have noticed the description to the Walther P22 states that the barrel is interchangeable.

If it can be swapped for a 9mm chambered barrel, would a magazine designed for 9mm bullets fit in the grip and work with the firearm?

No. For one thing, .22 is rim fire and 9mm is center fire. Then there is the issue of fitting a magazine big enough for 9mm rounds into an opening designed for one that holds .22 rounds. The list of problems goes on and on.
