Hunting Boots
A hunter-gatherer has a primal urge to eat well, live long
You won't find him hunting through the meat case or picking off Pop-Tarts. He likes it wild, clean, lean and green.

Can you use Hunting Boots, instead of Horse riding boots when riding a horse?
Thanks
You can ride in many different types of shoes. Anything with a hard sole and a small heel is acceptable. Boots serve 2 purposes... when you're on the ground, they protect your feet in case you get stepped on... when you're on the horse, they fit into the stirrup properly to prevent your feet from getting stuck in the stirrup, which can be dangerous in the event that you fall off the horse. Depending on your style of riding, your hunting boots may or may not be appropriate. If you're riding western, the stirrups are very wide, so a wider boot is acceptable. However, if riding english, the stirrups tend to be narrower, meaning a boot with a wide sole is more likely to get stuck... When I was a beginner, I didn't have any boots, so I went to Target and bought a pair of normal boots that you might wear anywhere. That was acceptable when I was riding western, but when I switched to english, they made me go buy paddock boots because they'd be narrower and fit into the stirrup better.
If you're taking your first lesson or going on a trail ride or something, I think that the hunting boots would be fine. Wear them to your first lesson, then ask them if they're ok... if not, go buy a pair of paddock boots. You can get them at tack shops, Tractor Supply, or various places on the internet, like ebay.
