How do I reset Pokemon Ranger on the Nintendo DS lite to the original factory settings?

The in-game language has locked to French, and cannot be changed within the game settings, even after the system language has been changed back to English. A 'Hard' reset would possibly cure the problem, but there is no mention in the instruction manual of how to perform such a function. Does anyone know the correct button sequence and timing? Many thanks in advance.

wow sounds like it sucks. i dont have a ds but maybe you could try starting the game over. may times when you start over the settings reset to their normal settings. may suck if your really far in the game. or you could try searching google or some other search engine for somthing that might help fix the problem. if you dont want to do either of those you could try and learn french. hope this helped
