Nokia N95 automatically unlocks keypad when in contact with magnet?

I have a holster for the N95 which clips to my belt. It uses magnets to keep the flap of the holster close. The thing is, when I lock the keypad, and everytime I slip the phone into the holster (causing the magnet to rub against the back of the N95) the phone will automatically unlock.

Few flip phone use magnet sensor for their phone. Example Sony Ericsson when you close the flip, the external LCD will be on, and the internal LCD will be off, but when you open the flip, actually the magnet is getting far from the sensor, causing the INTERNAL LCD to be on, and the external to be off.

I don't think N95 use this kind of sensor for the 'lock and unlock' feature. Usually slide phone (N95 is a slide phone) use 'push' sensor, when you push the slide up, there will be some curve below your slide which push a button (also below the slide) - becoming a sensor, that ur phone is being opened slide, which cause, if you have your phone locked before, become unlocked.

So here it goes, slide closed, automatically lock keypad.
Slide goes up, automatically unlock keypad.

There could be possibility that magnet is put under the slide instead of the curve to hit the button. Get what I mean?

So here's something to find out, use another magnet, or simply your bolster, make it near the back of the phone, see if it unlock your keypad (cause we are presuming the sensor is at the back of the phone). If nothing happens, I presume, while u slip your phone, probably u unintentionally push the slide a little bit..

For other test, use other belt clip holster but the one without magnet.

FYI, magnet only be dangerous to the LCD and speaker, I haven;t heard about any damage caused to other component of the phone.
