Scope Mount
What is the best scope mount and scope for an AK?
I just got my Polish Tantal AK-74 in. The iron sights stink and I am looking at aftermarket sighting. Any suggestions?
You know I was going to say "It's a waste" but you're right the stock iron sights do suck. I have been looking at different systems and it seems like the best application for that rifle is a forward mounted Red Dot or heads up holographic sight. The days of the side mount hunting rifle scope are numbered and most people I see are going with the non-magnified electronic sights mounted on the upper handguard. You can check out both mounts and sights at Cabela's or Cheaper Than Dirt and lots more places too but those 2 will give you a start.
