Factory Crimp

i cant figure out why my radio in my 94 camry wont turn on!?

I have been trying to install a new radio system for my 94 camry. the problems started when i didn't know i needed a wire adapter until i cut the wires coming to the 2 blue harnesses going into the factory radio. shortly after, i bought the adapter and crimped/taped the wires back together... i followed the color codes and my new radio wouldn't turn on.. so i reconnected the original radio and it didn't turn on either except for green lights which showed up before. but it still wont turn on... i don't think its a fuse because the cigarette lighter still works and they are on the fuse diagram as the same fuse... also my clock and overhead light don't turn on either...

It's most likely a fuse. Keep in mind your stereo uses two power sources -- one that works all the time (this allows the lock to keep time and stations to stay in memory) and one that works only when the key is in the Accessory or Ignition (ON) position. From what you've described, it sounds like your Accessory fuse is fine, but your constant power fuse is blown. Check your fuse box for the fuse that operates your dome light and replace it. Also, make sure you reconnected the wires properly and either soldered or butt-connected them together.
