Is it illegal to carry an air pistol in michigan? ?

I carry an air pistol in a holster sometimes...is this illegal? i would like someone that knows the law to answer...not a guess. This is a co2 pistol,(a bb gun) not a handgun. thanks

possessing a air pistol or even anything that resembles a gun is covered by the same laws as a real gun..if you carry a concealed air pistol with the intent that people think its a gun,then it is a gun..you can be charged for brandishing or any armed felony the same as if you had a real pistol.Girl I know did 9 mon out of a year sentence not long ago for "flashing" a co2 pistol that looks like a colt .45 at someone she was mad at and trying to intimidate,they dropped felonious assault to brandishing ,but she still got a year for it.theres no reason for you to want to carry a item that looks like a gun,thats going to be legal...unless your on your own private property.
