Has anyone ever flown past mount everest? Must be quite a sight!?
Its peak must be almost the altitude of the plane.
Did the captain announce it on the PA system?
Tell me what it looked like....
We flew from Katmandu to Pokara on Royal Air Nepal. It was beautiful but to be honest, Everest wasn't that much higher than the other peaks in that region. But the whole view was spactacular.
We were well above it, and actually not that close to it. When the pilots heard that three Flight Attendants from other airlines were onboard, he invited us to the cockpit.
Wouldn't happen today! This was in 1990. Oh, and by the way, we were traveling with our benefits NOT working!
