how to fill in bite marks on duck decoy's nose? HELP!?
Okay- I spent 2 months making a wooden duck in my shop class. So my teacher told me i could bring it home to show my mother. I went home on the bus with my friend, and forgot it on the bus. My friend messaged me that she had it. A few hours later, she messages me again with:"I am soooo sorry, but i left your project somewhere(meaning the ground) and my dog(a pitbull) got it. He only chewed the nose a little bit.."
I meet her somewhere to retrieve the duck, and it has more than 8 bite marks. My question is, How do I (or the shop teacher) fill in the holes? I could try sanding a bit, but I'm not sure how nicely wood filler will blend with the stain i used. PLEASE HELP!!!!

go buy a can of plastic wood. you could try mixing up some artist acrylic paint to match the stain if the plastic wood doesn't stain the same as the wood.

Ocean County gears up for annual art and decoy festival
Nancee Jo Luciani remembers the very first decoy she created. Actually, it was a plain wood decoy — a redheaded duck, to be exact. And she actually painted the duck when she took part in the paint-a-duck program in February 2003 at the Ocean County YMCA's annual art and decoy festival.
