is it illegal to be a mountain man?
Okay, me an a few other people would like to be "mountain men" I was wondering if it was illegal. And what the best places are to do this. As in the area is not protected for wildlife or patrolled in any way.
I'm not sure, but if you really want to be a mountain man, then find a hidden far away place and give it a try. I don't think living in the wilderness is going to get you a criminal record! Why don't you forget about the legalities (or atleast worry about that when and if, you get asked to leave) and go out there highlander!
The best way to find a good place is to take up hiking on the weekends/free time for a few months before you attempt to stay longer
