Richmond man gets 35 years for drug, gun crimes
A 22-year-old Richmond man was sentenced yesterday to 35 years in federal prison for drug trafficking and firearms crimes, including the possession of a fully automatic machine gun. Denard Edward “Bird” Carrington pleaded guilty in October to possession of firearms by a felon, possession with the intent to distribute 500 grams or more of powder cocaine, and possession of an unregistered firearm.

Is the Glock Pistol a safe gun to carry?

Because the Glock pistol does not have a manual safety (except for the trigger safety), is it safe to carry the pistol iwb with a round in the chamber?

If you are going to carry it in a holster on your waist, Yes. If you are trying to stick it in a bag or purse with a bunch of other stuff that could possible press the trigger, maybe not.

Police wouldn't carry Glocks if it was not safe to have a round in the chamber. I guarantee they have a round in the chamber all the time.
