Velcro Patch What type of fabric is durable enough to endure both rhinestones and velcro?
Looking to apply a heatset rhinestone design on one side of the fabric and velcro on the other side to make a rhinestone patch for a dance team. The entire team will each have a patch that they will move from uniform to uniform on a daily basis so the fabric needs to be durable. Anyone have suggestions as to the best type of fabric to use? Thanks.
I agree with denim or some kind of canvas. Something else to think about is that velcro wears out as you use it - over time the hooks straighten out and the hook side will need to be replaced. If you don't, the patch will start to fall off. Either plan to replace the patch regularly or to replace the hook side of the velcro regularly (which means using a sew-on that you can get off rather than a glue-on that you can't).
