Nikon Scopes!!! PLEASE HELP! QUICK!!!?

Hello, I have a Savage .22 and i'm looking for a really good scope... Will this Nikon Omega 3-9X40 fit it good? What ring size will I need to use?

Also would it fit a Mossberg or Remington 12 gauge shot gun if I decide to switch it? Why does it only mention fitting Muzzelloaders?

Overall is it a really good scope? And will it fit both a shot gun and .22LR? And work Great???

A shotgun and in my opinion a .22 rifle are more for close range shooting.....

The scope that would suit your purposes perfect is the Nikon Prostaff 2-7x32MM .....

PLEASE NOTE --- You need a longer eye relief with a shotgun --- What that means is this.... Shotguns have more recoil so theres a chance the scope will pop you in the face --- This Nikon model is made for shotguns and is designed in such a way that your face can be farther back to see what you got to see without fear of the scope smacking you in the face...... That scope your looking at on ebay has a closer eye relief so may not be what you want.........

Also that 3-9x40MM scope sees a little beyond the capabilities of a regular .22 rifle and shotgun... So this 2-7x32 I recommend is perfect --- I have 2 or these and they have been problem free and a pleasure to own.......
