the ak-series of rifles are magazine fed weapons, they cannot take a belt of ammo. but there are high capacity magazines if you like to have more ammo, standard ones are the 30 rounders. they got magazines all the way up to the 100 cartridge capacity, probably even more.
The ak-like rifle, the -PK series lmg can take a belt of ammo.

a cartridge is the whole piece of ammunition. the bullet is the projectile, powder goes i nthe case, a primer on the bottom fired the powder, the bullet fits i nthe neck of the case, while holds it all together.
a clip and a magazine is two similar ammo feeding devices for guns, a clip is either to help reload a gun or magazine, it clips the cartridges together, making it easier to load.
Some guns, like the American M1 garand (used in WW2) or the carcano rifle (Italian WW2 rifle) used the clip to hold the ammo in the gun, it is like a magazine but also not like a magazine.
The SKS rifle is a an example of how a clip hold cartridges together so Its easier to reload the gun.
A magazine is a box-like device that holds cartridges, it doesn't go into the gun, only fits outside the gun. they all have a spring inside it to force loaded rounds to the lip of the magazine, where the gun takes ammo into its chamber. You also load the magazine from the magazine lips.
